Radical Heights Community Server v0.1.9

Grab the zip, sign in, play. Download v0.1.9

Radical Heights is playable again. Sign in, queue up and drop into a match. It's the first public version of the community server, and it's a test on purpose, because the only way to find out what breaks with real players in the lobby is to put real players in the lobby.

What's in it

The zip has the two things you need, the launcher and the mod. Unzip it, run the launcher, sign in and hit Play. The game loads with the mod inside it and talks to the community server instead of the one Boss Key switched off.

  • Your account. It lives on the community server and has nothing to do with Steam. Redeem your invite code in the launcher once and your account is made.
  • The menus. Profile, friends, news and the store all work again.
  • The prize room. Every cosmetic the store ever sold is back, and you buy it with the game's own cash. There's no real money anywhere in the game.
  • Matchmaking and parties. Queue up on your own or party up with your mates, and you're put on a match server in your region.
  • The match. A full match runs on a community match server, with bots filling the spare seats, so you get a game even when nobody else is on.
  • Cash and progression. Bank cash at the ATM and it's in your account straight away. What you earn in a match carries over, and so do your stats.
  • Your outfit. You drop in wearing whatever you saved.

How to install

You need your own copy of Radical Heights, on 64-bit Windows, and an invite code to make an account. Join the Discord to get one.

  1. Unzip the download anywhere. Keep rhcs-launcher.exe and rhcs.dll together.
  2. Run the launcher. It finds Radical Heights through your Steam library, and if it doesn't, hit Browse and point it at RadicalHeights.exe.
  3. Leave the server set to Radical Heights Community and click Redeem account. Put in your invite code, pick a name and a password, and hit Play.

Next time, Sign in with the same name and password and you're straight on.

What to expect

It's brand new. Expect it to break, and tell us when it does.

  • Nothing in here has had a lobby full of real people yet, only bots standing in. Anything that only happens with two or more real players in a match is exactly what this test is for.
  • The end of a match is the part most likely to be rough.
  • There's one community server. When it's down, it's down, and we'll say so on the Discord.

Reporting what breaks

Post it on the Discord with what you were doing, who was in the match, and the log. The launcher and the mod write one log per session to %LOCALAPPDATA%\RHCS\logs. Grab the newest rhcs-play- file in there.

Still here? Grab it.
